Seniors Program Launch Event

On Wednesday, April 23rd, 2025, Agape Ministries officially launched its highly anticipated Seniors Program for the 2025/2026 year under the theme “Together We Thrive: Connecting Seniors, Engaging Generations.” The event welcomed approximately 20 seniors to a warm and vibrant gathering filled with laughter, reflection, and vision.

The afternoon began with an inspiring address from the leader of the Seniors Ministry, Mrs. Lena Nicholson, who spoke from the heart about the importance of honoring the legacy, wisdom, and presence of our senior community members. With personal anecdotes and a deep sense of purpose, the message reminded everyone that this program is more than just activities, it is about relationship, and connection across generations.

Attendees were then guided through a presentation of the key elements of the 2025/2026 program, which includes intergenerational workshops, wellness sessions, cultural exchanges, digital literacy classes, and opportunities for storytelling and mentorship. The program reflects Agape’s continued commitment to not only engaging seniors but ensuring they feel seen, valued, and active in the life of the community.

One of the most touching moments of the event came during the testimonial segment, as seniors who participated in past Agape seniors programs shared their experiences. Their stories of community, personal growth, and connection throught the seniors activities brought smiles to the room.

As we look ahead to a full and meaningful year, the Seniors Team remains excited to build a bridge between generations, one rooted in mutual respect, love, and lifelong learning.
